Mike-MecozziMike Mecozzi — Director of Behavioral Health

Mike started his career at Trinity Services in 2005 as a graduate extern in clinical psychology. Mike trained at Trinity for two years before moving to Little Rock, Arkansas, in 2007 to complete an internship at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. Mike returned to Illinois and was hired by Trinity in September 2008.

In 2010, Mike was named the Clinical Director of the Behavioral Health Department. His primary duties included supervising three Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programs and directing the graduate psychology training program. 

In 2016, Mike became Director of Behavioral Health, where he today supervises group homes and apartments for persons with a mental illness or a dual diagnosis of an intellectual disability and mental illness; three psychosocial rehabilitation programs; the Family Counseling Centers; the Community Support Team; and the Housing and Urban Development program for people who are homeless.

Mike graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002 with a BA in economics. He graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2008 with his Psy.D. in clinical psychology

In 2013, High Tide Press published Mike’s first book, “The Other Side of Pain: Discovering Meaning When Life Hurts.” Mike enjoys reading, speaking, exercising, spending time with his lovely wife, Aimee, and rooting for all Chicago sports teams.

    We feel privileged to be celebrating our 68th year of providing supports and services for people with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Since first opening our doors as a small school, Trinity Services has been committed to helping individuals flourish and lead more independent lives. We now serve more than 3,500 people through an array of innovative programs. This would not be possible without generous supporters like you.

    We hope you will join us for an evening of entertainment, fine dining, dancing, and silent and live auctions at our 29th Annual Dinner Dance & Auction, Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. This year's theme is "Moonlight Sonata."
    The evening starts with cocktails at 5 p.m.
