Family Counseling

(FCA)

In 2001, Trinity Services, Inc. merged with the Family Counseling Agency (FCA). The FCA was established by concerned Will County Citizens in 1957 and has been committed to providing high quality counseling services to those in need ever since.

People receiving services through the Family Counseling Center of Trinity Services (its new name is FCC) span a wide array of ages, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Individual, marital, family and group therapy and counseling are available. The FCC provides counseling, psychotherapy and community education services to strengthen family life, foster healthy personality development, and enable people to establish a sense of control over their lives. Anyone age 3 or older who experiences interpersonal problems, poor social performance and psychological suffering due to their behavior or thinking may be eligible for services. Treatment locations can be found in Joliet, Frankfort, Crete and Wilmington, IL.

FCC also provides treatment for anger management. Persons 16 years or older who have difficulty expressing or controlling anger may be eligible for treatment. Some clients are referred by the court system after formal legal charges have been filed as a result of behavior.

Before services are initiated, an assessment is completed and a written treatment plan developed. Fees are determined based on a variety of factors which include, but are not limited to, family income and number of dependents. Insurance companies may also be billed.

The staff of FCC includes licensed counselors, psychologists and social workers. The FCC also serves as a training facility, offering a twelve-month internship program. This program is a pre-doctoral or practicum training field placement in clinical psychology.
