Director of The Cherry Hill Bookstore, Hightide Press, & The Midewin Institute
Steve Baker is involved in a variety of activity areas for Trinity Services. He is responsible for High Tide Press, ensuring the
Human Rights of all those receiving services at Trinity, and any number of Special Projects. Steve began his tenure at Trinity in
December of 1991, though his experience in Human Services began some time before coming to Trinity. Steve has a BA in Government
and History from Illinois College, and a MS in Behavioral Analysis from the University of Nevada at Reno.
Long time New Lenox residents, Steve and Jackie Baker's family is rounded out by a son, Patrick, and a Golden Retriever named
Ripley. Steve loves getting away from it all on a bike or canoe, in a tent in the wilderness, or just a brief escape into the music
he loves to play on one of his stringed instruments. A hand made mandola is his current favorite!
Not content to just work and play, Steve gives back to his community as a volunteer. He is active in the Old Plank Road Trail
Association, the Sierra Club, Will County Continuum of Care, and the Midewin Institute.
