Jan 11, 2018

MORRIS, IL — For the fifth consecutive year, The Dueling Tonys are set to return at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, to Immaculate Conception Church in Morris for a show to benefit Trinity Services, Inc. and Special Connections of Grundy County.

Pianists Tony DeBlois and Tony Kidonakis face off annually in an enthralling duel that is entertaining for people of all ages.

Deblois is blind, and has autism and savant syndrome. He was the subject of the 1997 CBS made-for-TV movie, “Journey of the Heart”.

Kidonakis has performed dueling piano shows for Howl at the Moon in Chicago and aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines. He is an assistant professor of saxophone and jazz studies at the VanderCook College of Music.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the people with developmental disabilities and mental illness who are served by Trinity Services and Special Connections of Grundy County.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger, and include light refreshments, which will be served during intermission. Additionally, event sponsorship opportunities are available for $100 each by calling Jen Price at (815) 941-1503.

Tickets may be purchased at First Midwest Bank in Morris, the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce, The Turf Team or Immaculate Conception School in Morris. Tickets are also available online at www.specialconnections.org.
